Is someone who is looking for this keyword really searching for it and buying it? 

If that keyword does not have any commercial purpose, then there is no point in targeting that keyword.

Totally. But so is a list of what some sites have said.

And though your conversion rate won’t be perfect with the most common keyword, if your conversion rate is strong enough, then there’s a fair chance your keyword would return a reasonable amount of revenue. 

As an illustration, one of my goal keywords is “digital marketing services”.

According to ubersuggest free seo tools , this keyword gets 3600 searches per month.and CPC on that keyword is $22.60

Because clicks to search keywords cause click action ads, people are paying $25 each time someone clicks through to an online ad. 

If the search volume  for the word is too poor doesn’t matter at all because the CPC more than makes up for it. 

Since the keyword was not competitive, I decided to create content on that keyword /term
